Men in Brotherhood Lodge 1178 AF&AM was formed out of the love of the craft but with time constraints that did not allow members to get home to change before the lodge meetings. Men in Brotherhood Lodge 1178 AF&AM is mostly a come as you are lodge, to a certain extent that is. Everyone is welcome no matter how they are dressed and most come in jeans, t-shirt and a black leather vest with the lodge identification. Contrary to popular belief most own their own personal tuxedos, and are not afraid to use them. Most of our members are Police, Fire, City, State and County workers and almost all are motorcyclists, but all with one common goal.....THE GOOD OF THIS LODGE AND MASONRY IN GENERAL.

Most of the members are Shriners as well, and almost all of them are involved with the CHICAGOLAND TOY'S FOR TOT'S PARADE "in one way or another" and even Santa himself just may be a Shriner. To date the members of Men in Brotherhood Lodge 1178 have been involved with Shriners Hospital Chicago in one way or the other. 

***Just a note about the Square & Compass with the Motorcycle, there is no secret or alternate meaning. I thought it appropriate being that most of the members of Men in Brotherhood Lodge A.K.A. "The MIB's" ride motorcycles. It's just that simple.***
